08:09 AM ET 06.28 | Renardo Sidney's fall from any sort of basketball grace is unfolding before his eyes. [Sidney] has burned through two agents and has no idea what to expect Thursday in the NBA draft. The talented-but-troubled basketball star left Mississippi State in March to seek an NBA career, but his professional prospects look bleak with no representation and a head-scratching performance during a workout with the New Jersey Nets in May. "This whole NBA process is really tough and with me dropping two agents, it really doesn't look good for me right now," Sidney said. "Like you said, it sounds like I'm lost. I can admit that I'm lost. I'm just trying to find my way back and see on Thursday what happens."

There are dozens of Late Bloomers - but there are more guys who listened to the wrong people telling them "You can make it in the NBA"...
nbadraft.net doesn't even have him being drafted.
This Kid has (atleast) another year of eligibility - he might be best served to use it or else he's gonna be playing out his prime in the Norwegian B-League.

Unfortunately you're talking about a kid who doesn't work. He came into college ball highly touted and turned out to be lazy and troubled. He came into the NBA combine overweight just like he was throughout college and it's all too bad because he's a big and very skilled guy. Eddy Curry syndrome hit him before he could even get started and now he's not going to get drafted

He is a skilled big that could learn a lot from TD, especially when it comes to working hard. The Spurs should take him in the 2nd round.
If they give him Bonner's minutes during the regular season, they may have another big that can actually play come playoff time next year.

and Asia eventually........lazy, no inititiative, tried SEC based on high school numbers...whoops...found out he actually had to run up and down the court and be a team player...never adjusted....Tazmanian devils have a better attitude.....at least they will attack and get results....Sidney just sits back waiting for game to come to him.....not worth the risk...

In a nutshell.....he's a guy who should've stayed in school.....but who instead (as you alluded to) listened to the wrong person/people.
Renardo Sidney = 6'10', 285lb Power Forward......14 points and (just) 7.6 rebounds per game as a sophmore and 10 points and 5 rebounds as a junior (he did shoot 40% from 3-point.....).
Best game against Ole Miss; 22 points-12 rebounds during sophmore season.
Ability is there.....but guidance is definately needed.
