08:18 AM ET 06.28 | Mariners manager Eric Wedge neared a breaking point Wednesday afternoon. Wedge is getting fed up with seeing the same hitters beaten on the same types of pitches over and over again. Baseball is a game of constant adjustments in the chess game between hitters and pitchers and those who fail to adjust continuously will get left behind. It's one thing to talk about seeing pieces develop on a losing team. ... "It's frustrating because I know these guys are a much better offensive club than what we're seeing them do here at home," Wedge said. "I don't want to hear anything about the fences, or this, that and the other. It's about what they're doing at home plate and putting up good at-bats and hitting the ball hard."

yeah, very young. Score 20 runs one night, get shut out 3 games in a row later. Now I see why some coaches refuse to play rookies--you don't know what they can or can't do, they don't know either, and they haven't learned how to do anything consistently. But the only way to find out is to let them play

Wedge is a terrible manager. One play off team in a decade of managing in the bigs. He had some good teams in Cleveland but he still didn't win. He is terrible at bringing along good young players and in his perfect world he would have a career back up catcher at every position. He ruins young position players and especially young pitchers. If you get in his dog house you will never get another chance. He thinks he's the smartest guy in baseball. Seattle will regret ever hiring him and the cronies he brought with him.
