Mularkey ready to make Jags sweat

08:04 AM ET 06.29 | Yet another element in Jacksonville will change this coming season when Mike Mularkey turns up the heat on training camp. [Mularkey] said at the end of organized team activities that he preferred afternoon training camp practices, so it wasn't surprising that the schedule announced by the team Thursday includes just one evening practice -- the intrasquad scrimmage Friday, Aug. 3. ... Former Jaguars coach Jack Del Rio favored night practices and had lights installed on the practice fields. But Mularkey wants his team to practice in the heat during the day. The Jaguars' training camp is scheduled to begin Thursday, July 26, when all of the players under contract are scheduled to report.
