Another stupid story. Why would they sell, it is not because they need the money. Keep the team in the family for generations to come.

Remember Hank and Hal are not sole owners of the Yankees so there are others involved. Who would have thought the O'Malley family would have sold the Dodgers after owning them for so many years but money talks and there is no such thing as having too much money.

I don't know if it will be Cohen who buys them but I'll bet the franchise is sold sooner rather than later. It wouldn't surprise me if the Chicoms end up owning them.

Derek Jeter will eventually own the Yankees.

I should hope so, they've been at it longer but then again not many teams do an old timers day so it's not like they have a ton of competition.

I went to one in the early 70's when DiMaggio was still playing in them, it was cool but the old stadium had that aura about it.

The last game I saw there was in 1978, not quite the same feel after it was refurbished. I loved the old parks that had the huge center field like the old stadium at 461.
