08:25 AM ET 07.01 | Faced with the possibility of losing Ray Allen, the Boston Celtics are pursuing Dallas Mavericks free agent guard Jason Terry, league sources told Yahoo! Sports. The Celtics are preparing themselves for the possible loss of Allen, and began the process of recruiting Terry after midnight ET Saturday, league sources said. The Mavericks still have interest in re-signing Terry. The Los Angeles Clippers also have emerged as suitors, sources said. The Celtics also have interest in Los Angeles Clippers free agent guard Nick Young, sources said.

Terry would be a very good fit for the Celtics. It seems like the Celtics have made the decision to part with Allen. So, if it is Allen to the Heat, does that mean Mike Miller is being bought out?

As a Celtic fan, I hope we go after Eric Gordon. I think he is the best free agent shooting guard available. As far as free agents are concerned, if all the Heat want is someone who can hit an open 3, I think they would be better off with Steve Novak rahter than Ray Allen. TO ME, Ray is just a shell of his former self. When I thought Big 3, I included Rondo and removed Ray Allen.
