09:05 AM ET 07.01 | With the arrest and dismissal of tailback Isaiah Crowell, attention turns to the five players who are most likely to step into the starting role. Ken Malcome, a redshirt sophomore from Southwest DeKalb High, is the biggest back on the team at 6-0, 226. A true freshman from Millbrook High in Raleigh, N.C., the 5-11, 200-pound Keith Marshall was just as highly touted as Crowell. He was ranked the No. 2 running back prospect in the nation last year after rushing for 1,891 yards and 25 touchdowns his senior season. Another true freshman from North Carolina, Todd Gurley was named the North Carolina Associated Press Player of the Year for 2011 and was ranked nationally as high as No. 11 at running back. The diminutive Brandon Harton (5-6, 174) became a fan favorite last year when he started against New Mexico State and Kentucky due to suspensions and injuries. Fifth-year senior Richard Samuel has the most experience by far of all the returning backs. He has started nine games as a running back - Bulldogs fans will remember he has switched between offense and playing linebacker on defense.

Ever try to reason with a junior high kid? About like reasoning with a drunk!

Because the one more apt to have his head screwed on straight is probably that 5'6" 150lb kid in the corner with those big glasses working on equations on his iPad. Don't think he'll help the running game much.

LMFAO!!!! "Losing the SEC East to either Vandy or USCe"??? Why didn't you include Kentucky, Tennessee, Florida or Missouri??? Don't those "powerhouses" have a chance to win the SEC East??? :-)

With the schedule UGa has, it'll take more than losing Crowell.
That said, USCe and Mizzou are better teams. Another huge reason I like round robin play in conf.

Yeah, Georgia does have to play Missouri, South Carolina and Auburn on the road, other than that, IMO they have a fairly easy schedule.!!!!

Sorry man you are DEAD wrong. Crowell was a puss who didnt show up in the second half in at least half of the games last year. most of the time he was riding pine claiming to have some phantom injury. I can only see this as a good thing.

I agree, if Crowell was all you said he is/was, then it's better, if he is not part of the team.
