09:18 AM ET 07.01 | When the Redskins concluded their offseason practices earlier this month, quarterback Robert Griffin III and his receivers vowed to meet at some point during the five-week layoff before the start of training camp so they could remain sharp and continue to develop their chemistry. Griffin & Co. made good on that pledge on Friday, gathering in Waco, Texas, for a passing camp. "We knew we needed to get together," Griffin told reporters at the NFL's rookie symposium on Thursday. "We got workout facilities and everything. Shockingly, I convinced them to come to Waco, Texas, because not everybody wants to do that." Receivers Santana Moss and Pierre Garcon were in attendance, along with Anthony Armstrong, Brandon Banks and tight end Fred Davis, according to 106.7 The Fan's Grant Paulsen.

I really like RGIII so far, even though I think he's going to give my Giants fits this year.

OK, since you asked.
Question: what do you call a Branch Davidian with a fire extinguisher?
Answer: A heretic.
This'll probably get censored.

What I find to be astounding about this, is these guys make more in a year than I do in a decaid yet they treet it like a game. Most don't do anything in the off season, then a couple weeks OTA them 5 or 6 weeks off, then training then 18 weeks, then repeat. Then bjtch about your contract, read as money, then pout and hold out. Then sign an enormous contract gain a bunch of weight abd stink until they get cut.

There seems be a trend with some of these incoming QB's. They aren't waiting for the coaches to show them how to play, they are grabbing the bull by the horns and trying to take control of the situation.
Best of luck, RGIII.

and the best of Manning and Namath and Montana, your going to need it to overcome the Shannahan handicap. Or is that Shannicap?

Even the best of Montana won't be enough to overcome the Shannihan handicap.

He's never played a single NFL down, and he's already a better leader than Tony Romo.

This team will do some damage. Its all about attitude and they are getting that winning attitude. Unfortunately Philly, NY Giants and Dallas are planning to be good too.

Based on everyone's comments on this thread RGIII is the best thing since sliced bread. Well, we'll know for sure by the end of Week #6 if he's the real deal or not. For Washington's sake he better be or they are screwed for anorther 10 years.

I'm glad he is working to get better. His coaches and defensive teammates have to be thrilled.
I don't know how he'll pan out in the NFL, but talent with hard work will usually result in success. The Redskins might be a scary team in a season or two.
