08:14 AM ET 07.02 | The countdown clock has ticked to under a month before the trading deadline, meaning teams will likely soon make their decision on which side of the buy vs. sell line they reside. [Rangers GM] Jon Daniels said the team will take a business-as-usual approach, which means scouts are out looking at the best players that may be available. Rangers scouts have taken in recent performances by pitchers such as Zack Greinke and Cole Hamels, both of whom may be on the block. "Our approach doesn't change," Daniels said. ... "We're in a different spot than we were a couple of weeks ago. We hope to get all our pitchers back soon, but you never know. You have to be flexible and get prepared. I'm hoping we're not big players at the deadline."

Greinke will find a buyer before Hamels ever does. The price is just too high for Hamels.

Mr. GM please trade for Greinke today so we don't have to read about where he is going every other day.

Yep ... But with the loads of prospects the Rangers have in the minors and the fact the Brewers GM was once the Rangers GM ... you might see a deal get done for greinke.

You can't give up as much talent as in the past years because if you can't sign either pitcher to long term contract you don't receive any compensation. There is no compensation for mid-season trades during your free agent season.

good god. do the rangers just print money? how are they possibly able to keep adding guys like this. even the yankees are showing more restraint than texas

The ability to sign another top pitcher will impact the ability to sign Josh Hamilton. What do you chose..a number quality starter or Josh Hamilton.....dont think they can afford both.
