08:16 AM ET 07.02 | Now that Roger Clemens has been cleared on counts of lying to Congress over his testimony on PEDs, should Cooperstown open its doors to the Rocket? His old manager thinks so. "He is to me," Joe Torre said Sunday when asked if Clemens should be a Hall of Famer. "I can't make other people look at him. I can just tell you the way I feel about him. I was proud to have him play for me and I respect him. I'm a little prejudiced on Clemens. He was like a son to me and unfortunately the question mark is always going to be there with him. It's something that's sad for me because Roger Clemens and the way he went about his business ... I disliked him like everybody else until I got a chance to know him, but he was a great teammate for these guys."

Who on those teams was a roider other than Clemens? Pettite did them in 2003 after they stopped winning and CLemens was terriblein 1999 (Something like a 4.70 era) and most of 2000. According to McNamee Clemens didn't begin doing roids with the Yanks until half way through 2000. Knoblach suppossedly did them and he was awful.

Has Torres been drinking with LaRussa? These dumb arse coaches know dam well these guys wouldnt have put up the numbers they did if not for the PEDs so dont minimize what the roids did for the cheaters.

Dear MLB. Just release the names of the 103 players who you found out to be cheating and everybody move on. Lock all of them out.

Not even a rumor about any of those guys other then Canseco and Hill who were at best role players. Roberto Kelly was traded for O'neil in 1993. Tarasco played about a week. Mike Aldrete? Even I've never heard of him.

I agree. Clemens was a 500 pitcher his last 4 years in Boston. According toMcNamee he started the roids in Toronto and had the big years there. Then he came to the Yanks and stopped and stunck in 1999 and much of 2000. Then he bagan again and was great in the 2nd half of 200 and 2001 he won the Cy Young. When he did the roids he was great, when he didn't he stunk.

Kelly signed as free agent in 2000...Aldrete was your lefthanded pinch hitter off the bench you traded Rich Monteleone for him in the middle of June 96.....and it's not the point whether or not they were role players....they were all lining up in the bathroom stalls in the Yankee Clubhouse for "vitamin B shots" and Torre knew it......
