08:09 AM ET 07.03 | Insurance for Derrick Rose? In their quest to find a veteran point guard, the Chicago Bulls have been in contact with Derek Fisher, and they've also contacted shooting guard Brandon Roy, according to sources with knowledge of the situation. It was widely assumed that Fisher would quietly re-sign with the Oklahoma City Thunder after essentially choosing them over several contenders following a midseason trade from the Los Angeles Lakers and buyout from the Houston Rockets. ... Roy, 27, who retired before last season because of chronic knee problems, is hoping to make a comeback this season and could find a role with the Bulls for the right price. He and his representatives have spoken to members of the Bulls' staff as he tries to make his decision.

I hope Fish retires. Sad to see him pulling a Gary Payton in his final days.
Happy 3rd of July, FN!

Fisher?? Really he is a sort after free agent? I understand Roy if he can give you 15-20 minutes off the bench and solid production off the bench could work.

Funny thing is Fisher already has multiple rings...
But, as a Heat fan, I hope he does go to Chicago. He is slow and not a great defender, Miami would eat him alive again.

John Lucas III was playing very well for them ur right..guess teams think Fish can bring that "championship" grit? How'd it work out for OKC last season? Fish is done...

Watson's performance during the playoffs has soured Bulls management on him. John Lucas III is not good enough to start. Talk in Chicago is that they may bring back Kirk Heinrich for a 2nd tour of duty.

That the rumor unless its Hinrick, the Bulls will have to let Watson, Brewer and probably Kover go to re-sign Asik and Gibson (next year) and this year is just treading water for the Bulls anyway with Rose scheduled to miss half the season and Miami winning the East anyway. These moves for the Bulls are just setting up flexibility for next season when hopefully the Euro player of the year comes over to take the Boozers starting spot.
Ugly names sure. But everyone in the east besides Miami is wasting time next season anyway.

it's just that the Bulls don't want to pay Watson 3.5 million next season.
