08:11 AM ET 07.03 | Ron Roenicke made his pitch, and it's clear that he'd rather keep Zack Greinke than trade him. Greinke, a free agent after the season, already has been a hot topic on the trade rumors circuit because of the Brewers' struggles. But Roenicke indicated the Brewers would make another run at getting Greinke to accept a contract extension prior to the July 31 trade deadline. And, should Greinke remain with the club all season without an extension, Roenicke said the Brewers would make another run at re-signing him. ... [Said Roenicke:] "He likes it here; he does. There's going to be a lot of interest in him, obviously. He's a great pitcher. I think he would like to know what's out there for him (on the free agent market). You can't blame a guy for that."

This guy and Carlos Lee ought to be buddies. This guy has a rep of not wanting to play in pressure situations. So a contender probably would not get squat from him when they really needed it, like the playoffs.
