08:15 AM ET 07.03 | Current Nebraska defensive end Jason Ankrah will have a competition of sorts arriving on campus with the Class of 2013. [Outside linebacker] Marcus Newby, who plays for Ankrah's former high school in Gaithersburg, Md., tops Ankrah in at least one regard. "Marcus is the most aggressive player I've ever coached, and that includes Jason," said Dave Mencarini, the ninth-year head coach at Quince Orchard High School. "Jason doesn't like it when I say that, but it's the truth." The 6-foot-1, 210-pound Newby on Monday verbally committed to join Nebraska's 2013 recruiting class, becoming the 12th player to do so. ... Newby is rated as a three-star recruit by Scout.com and a four-star prospect by Rivals.com.
