08:24 AM ET 07.04 | Congratulations if you had July 3 in the "Ozzie Guillen Will Erupt in an Expletive-Laced Rant" pool. After Heath Bell ruined one of the biggest comebacks in Marlins franchise history when he gave up a game-ending homer to Aramis Ramirez, [Guillen] went off in a profanity-laced rant inside the clubhouse. But Guillen didn't direct his anger at Bell. ... "Make sure Miami people don't (expletive) Bell," Guillen said angrily to reporters, but loud enough for players, including Bell and starting pitcher Anibal Sanchez, in the hushed clubhouse to hear. "Bell gave up two runs. How about the rest of the (expletives) 10 or 12 runs they scored? That's why this (expletive) game is not (expletive) fair. It's Ozzie talking (expletive)? No."

Heath Bell has been a disaster as the closer for Miami.

Ozzie won't make it beyond this season. SMH

Ozzie is a middle of the road skipper who rules with an iron fist! I have never thought he was a good manager and when you look at how Chicago is doing without him you can start to see that he was most of their problem.

He needs to get Fidel as his bench coach. :-(

I think that occurred some time ago.

I would have thought that too but his expiration seems to somehow get renewed.

Ozzie would have stroked out long ago if he had Aceves as his closer.

I'm surprised it took this long honestly. Chicago has improved without him, and there is zero chance this Marlins team will be the same next year. I am loving it though, because this is exactly what I knew would happen in Florida, they got the new tax payer fleeced stadium, and still have thousands of fans dressed as empty seats appearing, so it is not the stadium that is the reason for no one showing up to the games, nor is it the fact that they suck either, because when they were hot, fans still didn't show up.

Quick, name a manager with a minimum of 5 years of major league managerial experience that is averaging 90 wins a season and has a World Championship to claim. No doubt that Ozzie battles Bobby V. as the class idiot for all baseball but his record speaks for itself. He certainly is in need of a total transformation but he has room to speak, just look at the numbers.

He also had a tough time in NY!

guillen was taking too long to over reacted, but lets say that he was trying his very best to avoid been a low class manager,,,

Talk about under achievers, they celebrate every inning and wind up losing the Game. Ozzie is right it wasn't the 2 runs it was the 10, go figure!

The Oz is a Billy Martin want to be. But the only difference of the two is Martin had better payers and they also won championship.

Not convinced the Sox are any better than last year. Konerko is having a crazy good year. Peavey is a surprise, but the Sox are below .500 at home just like last year, and just above .500 overall. I'd bet that by the end of the year, the record won't be much better if at all than last year's 79-83. A mediocre, incomplete team, as they've been for several years now. No one could have won with last year's team, not even Billy Martin, and no one could with this bunch either.

Agreed.
