08:26 AM ET 07.05 | Though this is one of those few downtimes, it's rare that college football coaches have any extended break from the long season. One job aspect that never stops is recruiting and, the challenge of getting early commitments as Michigan has -- with 22 already for the 2013 class -- is recruiting and re-recruiting until Signing Day in February. The grind has some coaches pushing to add a second signing period, as in basketball. "We've talked about (early signing date)," Hoke said last month. "As a (coaches) association, we've talked about an early official visit calendar, taking visits for two weeks in June. Then you'd have and incorporate maybe an early signing date."

I could see it....would help stop SOME of the committing, de-committing, playing for the audience...etc...Kid could play around long enough and find that the school he wanted was already full....IMO

Topic: Profligate TSUN threads due to Hoke's "Handsome Fat Man" status with the FN thread workers.

Discuss amongst yourselves.

Hoke is late.. they have been talking about this for the last 5 years...Plus how would he be able to flip a kid if they already signed on the dotted line.. If they do this, the majority wont sign early..IMHO

That makes sense.

Wow, we are getting a lot of TSUN threads, of course that means that they will be top 5, right?!

There have been way too many puff threads for a team that is due to get mauled in a few short weeks now.

Seriously, I think what works best for the kids... No signing until after their sr. season is done or until they enroll.

If the top programs could sign these kids in September they would be all over them nonstop till they did sign. It could force a kid into making a bad decision, take their eyes off scholastics and HS ball...

I think if a kid graduates early and enrolls/attends spring semester they should be able to sign as soon as they graduate, but those kids are in the bag anyway.

Sorry Brady, leave it alone.
