08:27 AM ET 07.05 | Isaiah Crowell may have found his new football home. UGAsports.com reported Wednesday that Crowell would transfer to Alabama State, which is located in Montgomery, Ala. Crowell would enroll in school [Wednesday]. Alabama State is a member of the Football Championship Subdivision, so Crowell would not need to sit out a year after transferring. The former Carver High standout was dismissed from the Georgia football team last Friday after being arrested by Athens-Clarke County Police Department earlier that morning on three gun charges, two of which are felonies. Crowell's defense will be led by Steve Sadow, a nationally known criminal defense lawyer based in Atlanta.

Seems like he needs to be more worried about his next football team.

Not Alabama State -- his next team is likely The Mean Machine.

First-time offender status be darned. Being charged with possession of a gun with an altered serial number doesn't fly too well in the courts, no matter what state you're in!
