08:05 AM ET 07.06 | Brandon Bass established himself as a frontcourt starter in Boston, and, after re-upping with the Celtics, expressed a measure of relief in staying. He and the club agreed on a three-year deal [Thursday], with Bass pegging the overall figure at $20 million. As for how that will be broken down, the power forward said, "It's three years for $20 million. That's all I know." Bass opted out of the $4.25 million final year of his contract to become an unrestricted free agent, and he sifted through the advances from around the NBA. "We had interest from some other teams, but Boston is where I wanted to be at the end of the day, so that's where I'm at," he said. Bass averaged career-highs of 12.5 points and 6.2 rebounds while starting 39 of 59 games.

I like bass......But the more I'm looking at the moves boston has made, the more confused i am starting to get.Glut at sg...Bradley, terry, ray?Glut at short forward...bass, sully,

Bradley and Terry can spell Rondo at PG and I would suspect that Sullinger will not be getting that much playing time.

I'm not confused at all all about the Celtics singings. KG, Fab Melo center, Bass, Sully PF ocas SF, Pierce SF, Rondo/Terry PG (Terry can play PG/SG) Bradley/Allen if signed SG it all make perfect sense to me. Good Job Celtics.

Bass....you did wonderful and I'm elated for you after all the moronic treatment in Orlando. Kudos to you kid, you're paid and happy with a chance to win a ring.

That's a good move for the Celtics. I think it would be a huge gamble to wager the future on Jared Sullinger.

QUOTE(#11):

it's not a complete mish-mosh....& depth is fine.- if healthy- they are competing for the ECF.....I just think they're banking on Jeff green being a LBJ stopperwhen he wasn't really that good of a defender to begin withand they are geting older and shorter, rather than getting younger and more athletic

They're getting older, slower, and smarter...
