Clemson's Sammy Watkins dilemma

08:23 AM ET 07.06 | It didn't take long before Sammy Watkins impressed at Clemson, where 26 seconds into his first game, he scored on a 33-yard touchdown before going on to rack up more than 1,200 yards on the season. His game-breaking athleticism and ability make him one of college football's most exciting players, and one of Clemson's most valuable. ... An early May arrest for possession of marijuana and drugs used to control ADHD cloud his early-season outlook; coach Dabo Swinney said last month that Watkins is likely to miss at least some game time, although when and how much remains unclear. Playing without Watkins should only illustrate how much Watkins means to his team and his offense. He is, without question, one of Clemson's most valuable assets.

Put him on the defensive side so they can slow down offenses like WVa's.

Either this young man is gonna straighten up and fly right, or he's gonna end up pumping gas in SC.

SEC has it's quota on Tigers already

Ain't that the truth. Tigers/Cats abound in the SEC.

Clemson will have to change their mascot if they wanna join. I recommend the Clemson Chokesalots. That's a very obscure but ferocious swamp lizard thingy. It's perfect.

If Clemson was in the SEC, this wouldn't be a story...what marijuana charges?

Obviously from a Big 10 homer. SEC teams don't cover up. Why do you think Crowell is at Bama State, Dyer is at Arky Lite and Pike is mowing grass in Kentucky? Worry about your own coaches sweeping **** under the rug.

Bet Clemson doesnt suspend him for the 1st game against Auburn

Bet you're right. If they sit him for the first game, they lose. Play him, and they win. Tough call for Dabo. But if you're going to suspend him, how can you not make it for the fitst game (or two) of the season?

The final investigation will go thru Labor Day, and then there will be a 2 game suspension (Ball St and Furman)
