07:31 AM ET 07.07 | Free-agent center Marcus Camby is expected to visit the Knicks in the next few days. According to a source, the Knicks have interest in Camby but for less than the $3.09M mini midlevel that Camby is seeking. They would rather him take the $1.4M veteran's minimum but he is seeking more. Camby, the former Knick who grew up in Hartford, is also visiting Miami. The Knicks, who could use a veteran backup center to Tyson Chandler, are hammering out a sign-and-trade with Dallas for Jason Kidd that would preserve their mini-midlevel.

Course he should, what a great idea.....Cause it's clear to the hypocrite fans that only the lakers and celtics are suppose to have the players.Only when the heat has the players it's a crime, and bi tching indeed begins..

and I will give you credit for this..........you're a glowing class act. How many more of you are hanging out in South Florida?

I'm a Celtic fan. Should I be begging Mark Madson to come out of retirement to play for the Celts? LOL. Funny think is, I posted a few weeks a go that the Heat would probably be better of going after Steve Novak instead of Ray Allen because Novak will be satisfied with 4 to 5 attempts a night. I think Ray has lost a step.

i thought ray allen lost more than a step thats why he got replaced in the line up

I hope he goes to the Heatles. Defensively he is okay but he has no offense. He is just an older and slower version of Anthony right now. Sign him Heatles... He is all yours

The King's Team should sign Camby and cut Damp and Curry's contracts. They must be great practice players because I never see them getting any burn in basketball games.

Jesus Shuttlesworth wants another ring, that's why He left Beantown high and dry.

i see so many people writing the heat in for next year why even play? if the heat had proved they were above and beyond the best team i would agree ...But the celtics were one game away from the finals with a injury filled team ......

I think the Celts need to make a real splash. I with we had gone after somebody like Eric Gordon or Bantum from the Trail Blazers. I think if Sully can get in better shape he will be another Carl Landry, which ain't bad.

If Camby wants a title, come to Miami.Plain and simple the knicks aren't in title contention at the moment.

Totally agree. If he only wants less than the mini mid-level, why isn't he with the Heat right now? The Heat would love him, given their need for another big.

Agree. I think it's a given that Damp is gone. I don't know how much progress Curry made in his comeback. Maybe he is still worth the league minimum.

Now what's Celtics next move since Allen bolted and they still have some dollars to spare?
JT will more or less give them Allen's scoring (neither can play defense anyway).

Some options are Lou Williams/Elton Brand/Kirk Hinrich/Felton
