Chargers pitch tickets to Chiefs fans

08:42 AM ET 07.07 | The Chargers' attendance issues are legendary. The Chargers-Chiefs rivalry goes back a long way, but isn't as heated as some of those other AFC West pairings. Last year's matchup in San Diego, in just the third week of the season, was played in front of 62,00 people -- 8,000 shy of a capacity crowd. This year's edition is a Thursday night game, which can be attendance poison. To head off embarrassment, yesterday the Chargers sent out an email blast to a number of Chiefs blogs, including Arrowhead Addict. It's the typical group plan offer, and though it reeks of desperation, by this point the Chargers would be negligent in not targeting fans of the opposing team. Chiefs fans' money is just as green as anyone else's, and if Chargers fans are concerned about being shouted down in their own stadium? Well, buy more tickets.

Sid Gilman is gone now, but Paul Lowe is 75 and still has some game left. They did win a championship in 1960 in LA. sure, why not again?

If all of the injured players come back healthy, the Chiefs should be significantly better this year.

July 7, 2012  09:08 AM ET

Always interesting to see if the Chargers can find a new way to self destruct

I always liked Norv Turner since his days with the Cowboys, but I afraid he just doesn't have what it takes to sit in the big chair. He kind of reminds me of Dan Reeves. Always the bridesmaid never the bride.

Get Rid of The Coach!!! A New Coach might sell some Tickets!!!

July 7, 2012  09:40 AM ET

The Denver Broncos have the longest active sellout streak in the NFL, and have a massive waiting list to buy season tickets

I must say... Creating an Account with the sole purpose of posting this single comment shows your dedication and fervor to the Broncos.

I can't wait for your next salient point.

I can't help but pick up on a massive layer of sarcasm, but thanks - I guess.. Just letting people know how robust the ticket sales are in Denver, having sold out every game since 1967

Of course I'm biased, but this is the best I've felt about the Broncos in a long time, and Manning is reason number two, behind this defense.
