09:49 AM ET 07.08 | After taking a day to regroup and process the decision by former Predators defenseman Ryan Suter to sign with the Minnesota Wild, the emotions are still raw for General Manager David Poile. "Playing with (captain) Shea Weber, that one point, whether this franchise is in Timbuktu, the one point of not choosing to stay and play with Shea Weber, I will never, ever understand that," Poile said. Added Poile, "It doesn't go down easy. Why should it go down easy?" Now the attention is squarely placed on Poile in regards to re-signing Weber to a long-term contract.

If you had signed him Davy you wouldn't look like such a butt munch. Quit your whining and move on. You're just making it worse.

Nashville is never going to be FA destination unless there's about 10 more Carrie Underwoods who can marry Preds.

Maybe he wanted to continue playing with Shea Weber, and so he went to Minnesota. Put two and two together, bud....

will be interesting to see if Blum and Ellis can be top 4 D-men. Those 2 guys together = 1 Suter.

I guess Poile is still adjusting to the concept of free agency.
THE BISHOP!

I think Bish that he's finally got enough money to go to the ball and he's found out it's sold out. Now he's worried that Weber has seen the writing on the wall and will bail-out at the end of the season although I would expect Poile to trade him at the deadline if he hasn't resigned by then

Blum is a little small to be a #2 D-man but he definitely could pencil in as a #3 great work ethic but that's what you'd expect from a Don Hay coached guy

It is a good thing for the GM he is in a secondary city for hockey if not the fans would demanded that he be fired.

The Wild started out like a house afire last season, measuring for rings and all. With these two guys they could be a contender.
