08:03 AM ET 07.10 | Randy Moss, with his speed and his smooth stride and his hands, sure makes a great introduction. [Moss] cast such a favorable impression during offseason workouts that coach Jim Harbaugh is calling him the 49ers' best receiver, according to SiriusXM NFL Radio's Rich Gannon. Moss indeed earned praise throughout the offseason program -- from Harbaugh, quarterbacks, wide receivers, defensive backs, other teammates and the media that watched practice. So it shouldn't came as a surprise that Moss merited Harbaugh's lofty endorsement to Gannon. ... Gannon said Harbaugh told him: "This offseason he's been incredible. He's our best receiver right now." Gannon then added: "How 'bout that, 'He's our best receiver.'"

If smiley is going to hang his hat on that idea he will end up hanging himself. Good luck with that!

And he wasn't interested in signing Peyton Manning.

Mr. Harbaugh, your lying words are hurtful to us.

Well did we expect any less?

One thing about Moss is he does like to win. If SF gets off to a strong start, all will be well. If they suffer any kind of a slump compared to last year, Moss will lose interest and turn off.

When Smith can't get Moss the ball how long do you think it will take Moss to implode?

July 10, 2012  08:31 AM ET

And as with everything else preseason, pads are off. Let's see if Randy can continue at that pace suited up. And, how long is the fuse on that stick of dynamite this season?

When the Pats traded him to Minnesota, he imploded almost immediately.

As for dominating, he did that the first time around in Minnesota, and when he went to the Patirots. Not so much in Oakland. Tennessee? I had to look it up to see who he played for next.

About as long as it takes the Cowboys to realize they will miss the playoffs once again.Their are more targets than Moss on their roster.

You may have nailed it right there.

July 10, 2012  09:29 AM ET

Wow if Randy Moss is the best you got, might as well stay home and mail in the season

July 10, 2012  09:34 AM ET

If Randy Moss is your best receiver then you've got big problems, my friend.

When your third leading receiver had only 241 yards and Crabtree and Davis ave 850 yards between them as your leading receivers, then Harbaugh could be right. Moss may be the best of the bunch. But so what? Blaine Gabbert is the best qb on the Jags, but that does not make him good.

Really..that wasn't the point smart **** And btw..I'm not predicting the Cowboys to make the playoffs .

He may be the best in training camp bc hes trying to prove some worth again, once the season starts and Davis is getting alot more looks and Moss isnt getting the touches, his attitude will change and will no longer be the best WR on the team

13-3 last season with the likes of Michael Crabtree as the top WR...I'd settle for a 12-4 year & the playoffs...

Go Niners !!
