08:24 AM ET 07.10 | It's that time of year again on the college football calendar. Many college football enthusiasts swear by one preview magazine, and that's published by Phil Steele. Not only does Steele do exhaustive preview mags, he also does a daily blog on his website and [on Monday], he broke down the 120-team FBS field down to the 11 teams that fit the national championship mode. As as fate would have it, there are three teams in his list from the Big Ten and they include Michigan and Michigan State. ... Along with U-M and MSU, Nebraska made Steele's cut. So too did Alabama, who opens the season against U-M in Arlington, Texas, and last season's national runner-up, LSU.

"Championship mold" will be over for MSU and tSUN on week one when BSU and Bama get through with them.....

NEB I can see a bit, they get time to warm up and have a schedule that might allow for an undefeated season. NEB would get killed by USC, Bama, LSU, or even FSU/OU though.

+1

Although I believe tSUN will have a good year, they play Bama and that puts them in a hole early. As for MSU, they lost a few key players one of which was the most important to their success last year, QB.

None of the 3 Big Ten teams wont be in it...but keep trying to sell your subscriptions Philly

The use of the double negative implies that you believe all three Big Ten teams will be in it?

It will be OU/FSU vs TSUN for the marbles.

No love for OT's Trogans there 0-6?

And not SEC team in it? Ya gotta be kiddin'. What kind of homer are you?

Zero U and Free Shoes would be better off it they weren't picked to win it all. They've spit the bit several times over the years when picked...if my memory serves me correctly. (But my rememberer ain't as good as my forgeterer.
