Doan looking for 'lesser of two evils'

08:26 AM ET 07.10 | As is par for the course in all things related to the Coyotes' ownership situation, another deadline passed into overtime, which again left Shane Doan with little clarity. Doan has been rumored to have interest in a lengthy list of teams, including Los Angeles, San Jose, Detroit, Chicago and Vancouver, but [Doan's agent, Terry Bross] wouldn't confirm those reports. "If we weren't dealing with what we're dealing with, I don't think there'd be any interest on his part in any of this," Bross said. "Unfortunately, if this thing goes south and it's not going to happen, I think that there are a few teams that for Shane are, for the lack of a better word, the lesser of two evils."

Doan's all right...for a couple more years yet. Seems he likes places sand in his shoes though and I would venture he will stay in the heat if the Yotes situation doesn't allow him to stay there.

Perhaps im being closed minded but if you make millions of dollars playing a game, shouldnt you be a little more humble for that priviledge rather than worrying about whether you wont see little Shaney and Suzy everyday for 7 months?

yup....i get to see my kids everyday and for that i make 2% of what Doan makes. Either he wants to make millions and not see the kids everyday or he gets a real job like the rest of the working people.
Or he gets his head out of his butt and retires. Its not like he needs the money and then he can see the kids everyday and drive them to school in his $300,000 Bentley.
Reminds me, i need to find $60.00 to get the oil changed in my 7 year old car.

Not to mention that for the other 5 months, he is home every day and during the season he is home for half the games. It isn't much different than any businessman who travels for his company.
