08:05 AM ET 07.11 | A change in the NFL's blackout rules won't mean much in Indy. The Indianapolis Colts will black out home games on local television if they are not sold out despite the NFL having relaxed its rule and allowing such telecasts if 85 percent of seats are sold. "We're a small-market team, and we need people in the stadium," Chief Operating Officer Pete Ward said. "While we value all of our fans, our first priority is to protect the investment of paying customers." Ward said there are 2,000 season tickets remaining. He said he is confident those will be sold, "but it's not done till it's done." If those season tickets don't sell, the Colts will try to sell them on an individual-game basis. Ward said that wouldn't happen for "three or four weeks."

Well, maybe they should consider the cost associated. To tell fans they can't watch a game on TV because the stadium isn't sold out is ridiculous. This game has gone so far from the blue collar game that it was to an elitist sport, I may actually start watching baseball.

It sounds like nobody cares even if they do live in Indy.
This kind of greedy, anti-fan behavior makes me almost ready to say The Colts Suck! but I'm not sure how well that would go over. Let's test it in a small-market-team thread to see how it goes.

And if they don't sell them, they'll find a better city and move in the middle of the night.

Why not LA Matadors? I know it would make more sense for a basketball team, especially when playing Chicago but LA already has 2 basketball teams...

Yeah, I like that one, too. Not sure if we can get it by the animal rights people, though. They go bullsheet over bull fighting.
