08:11 AM ET 07.11 | Golden State GM Bob Myers knows that Warriors fans are getting itchy. The free-agent moratorium period is almost over, as teams can officially sign players on Wednesday, and yet the Warriors don't have anything tangible to show. That will change, it's just a matter of when. "We're going to sign a player, but it's got to be right for us, the right kind of player and at a position where we need help," Myers told reporters on Tuesday afternoon. ... Myers also maintained that one of the team's big priorities this offseason is re-signing Brandon Rush, a restricted free agent. The Warriors have the right to match any offer another team makes for Rush and keep him. The trading of Wright also gives the Warriors more flexibility in terms of matching an offer.

It's not their year to win so why spend for the pleasure of spending? Continuity is better than adding pieces that aren't difference makers or pieces that don't fit. They got a new coach and new management and a shortened season last year. With everything being new it's better they stay patient to see how far they can go with consistency and good health. When the right deal comes around they can pounce on it. They still have David Lee, Curry, Bogut and RJ. With a little luck they may be able to squeeze into the playoffs. No need to panic Warrior fans... your team will get better.

I truly to hate to say this but...I ACTUALLY have to agree with you...when ur not on some crazy Lebron rant you sometimes make solid points.
They will not sniff anything close to contender status out West for a while so don't overpay for a "name" or some aging former all star (if any are left available)

signing Brandon Rush as priority number 1 ?? Hilarious.. How bout spending money on a decent free agent or 2 . my goodness this team has been irrelevant since Mullin and Hardaway were there.

Top to bottom, the Warriors aren't relevant. The lasting impression was Mark Jackson being extortion case. Hoping that the Black Falcon can stay healthy and get out of town by trade deadline next season.

Sometimes I wonder if a league commisioner would ever allow fan voting to replace one team's GM.
Signing free agents just to make a splash is what idiot fans would do. This move sounds like one of the initial steps a losing franchise makes before getting better.
It takes years for some franchises to build contenders and this organization seems to be on the right path for once.
