Kentucky's Rupp schedule panned

08:21 AM ET 07.11 | Sorry, 'Cats fans. You knew it would be weak, but really this is beyond weak, actually. Lafayette, Morehead State, Long Island, Samford, Portland, Lipscomb, Marshall, Eastern Michigan. More cupcakes than any local bakery. ... Kentucky fans will flock to Rupp regardless, of course. They always do. The Cats are coming off a national championship year. John Calipari has a tremendous recruiting class. Again. There will be a few good Southeastern Conference games on the home schedule, we hope. But the school did just announce another ticket increase, both in the required K-fund donations and individual tickets. And given this year's guest list, you can't help feeling that the fans who pack Rupp Arena deserve a little more respect.

I was reading an article the other day that was lauding how more bball OOC schedules were getting TOUGHER, not pansier.

wasn't there 3-4 articles about UK ducking Indiana? They were "No, we don't want home-home series with IU." Then the IU proposal was play two at neutral sites and a home-home series, but was still turned down. The fans should be disappointed royally!

Yeah, I thought the SOS...especially...tough away games were going to pull a lot of weight. Guess that only applies to schools other than Kentucky, North Carolina, Duke, UCLA, etal.

...and they reject a HnH with Indiana.

And no, most will have at least one power out conference team.

ie.. at UTx I saw UConn in Austin the year they won it, last year Mich St. This year Tar Heels will be there.

But I was under the impression that wins AWAY from home against quality opponents would weigh heavier on the SOS. Maybe I was wrong.
