Nieuwendyk's plan for Brenden Morrow

08:22 AM ET 07.11 | 'Tis the season for trade speculation, and Brenden Morrow's name has certainly been caught up in the frenzy. But Stars' GM Joe Nieuwendyk said today that he has had discussions with Morrow and that he expects Morrow to be a big part of the team next season. "We had a good talk the other day, and I told him I very much believe there's a place for him on this team," Nieuwendyk said while vacationing in upstate New York. "I told him I fully expect him to be out there on the power play in front of the net where he's always been." ... He tallied just 11 goals and 15 assists, and racked up 97 penalty minutes. With the recent acquisitions of Ray Whitney and Jaromir Jagr, it seems clear that Morrow might be the extra wheel.
