08:21 AM ET 07.12 | It seems Simeon's Jabari Parker won't be fighting for the Illini next year. [Parker], considered by most recruiting services to be the No. 1 boys basketball player in the Class of 2013, announced on Twitter late Wednesday afternoon his final list of colleges. Notably absent was Illinois. Parker, who recently helped the U-17 Team USA squad win gold, said that his final list, in no order, is Kentucky, Stanford, Michigan State, Kansas, Florida, Duke, BYU, Georgetown, DePaul and North Carolina. Parker became the first non-senior to win the Mr. Basketball of Illinois award this winter. He also was named the Tribune's athlete of the year after helping Simeon win its third consecutive state championship.
