08:00 AM ET 07.13 | These days, it's almost hard to remember Terrell Owens as a football star, one whose playing career, which dates back to catching passes from Steve Young, has been overshadowed by its decline. [Owens] is $20,000 behind on child support payments and may be facing jail time. Channel 2's Erica Byfield was the only reporter at his child support hearing at the Fulton County Courtroom on Thursday. ... [Owens] did not show up, and Judge John Goger was upset. Owens' attorney, David Hartin, told the judge it was his fault Owens was not there. He said he didn't communicate well with his client. Melanie Smith, the mother of Owen's 7-year-old daughter, said he has not made child support payments in months.

Nice of his attorney to take the rap for that p.o.c.

"He said he didn't communicate well with his client."

"What we have here is a failure to communicate."

How often do you get to use Cool Hand Luke quotes two days in a row, huh? How cool is that?

"He said he didn't communicate well with his client."

Meaning... "I guess I didn't realize I had to go pick this idiot up and bring him here."

If he looks good in orange, maybe he thinks he'll get a tryout with the Bucs.

July 13, 2012  08:17 AM ET

So, is TO paying his lawyer?

"Your Honor, not only did my client not show up, not pay child support, but he stiffed me, too. So, let's us lawyers gang up and eff him good."

Maybe they can work a reality show out of all this.

If he's to broke to pay his child support after all the money he made then we have a new contender for "king of the Idiots. I'm sure however, he will get lots of sympathy from the FN regulars.

Congress needs to pass a law that will make it illegal for Adam Sandler to make any more movies.

It's sad that after making that much money, he doesn't have much left. I'm sure the support payments are based on previous income. No wonder he wants on a team so bad. He can't make money in jail either. His decline is looking worse all the time.

TO is a grown **** man.

It's not his lawyer's fault he didn't show up to court and it's not his accountant's fault that he's behind on the support payments for his children.

This is why no NFL team will take a shot on him. Why that Little League team didn't even want him. Because he expects everything to go his way no matter what effort he puts forth, and he refuses to be accountable for his actions and his decisions.

Man up, TO. You brought those little **** into the world.
