08:06 AM ET 07.13 | Raptors president and general manager Bryan Colangelo is grateful for the contribution, but he also believes he has acquired "the future" of the position. [The Raptors] and the representative for veteran guard Jose Calderon are working together to try to find a new home for Calderon via trade. After ESPN.com reported Thursday that Calderon would welcome a trade after the arrival of Kyle Lowry to become the Raptors' new starting point guard, agent Mark Bartelstein confirmed Thursday night that he and [Colangelo] are "working together" to try to find a workable trade. "There's a little bit of a logjam there in the backcourt now," Bartelstein said. "Bryan and I are talking and we're putting our heads together to see what we can do to find a solution."

Good luck, JC, wherever you end up.

He's going to Houston to play with Howard. I think it's going to be just them two on the roster because the Rockets are going to amnesty Scola and send everyone else to Orlando to acquire Dwight.

Then next season when Howard walks, Calderon will play alone.

The Raptors have not been relevant since the days of Vinsanity. Granted this is the off season and we're lacking news :o)

And still win more games than the Bobcats this year. It's a miracle!

QUOTE(#6):

For 1/2 season at best. Don't forget that part, since If Dwight does somehow end up in Houston he won't be staying unless his back is so jacked up he has no choice, in which case who'll care anyway.

Dwight will have lingering back issues the rest of his career. Forget his athleticsm. It's gone. Amare and Larry Johnson are prime examples with the latter compeled to retire. In light of that Howard will get all the money he can get from whatever team he goes to because his playing days can be cut in a blink. Whichever team gets him he's bound to reup with them...

I do like Jose, but he really is a low end starter/back up caliber player and he makes too much $

I haven't seen his contract but if he's a good defender we should trade him for Fields. He'll get minutes at the 2 and third string point. With Kid's age and Lin's weak bones he'll sure see some action...

I think his back is a problem and that's why Orlando is in a hurry to trade him. It wouldn't be a good thing to have him suit up and show the world that he's hurting and limited in his game.

Houston beware!
