Why Griffin's injury has Team USA sweating

08:08 AM ET 07.13 | Team USA's list of big men keeps getting shorter, which means DeMarcus Cousins gets a little closer to a topic of conversation. Publicly and privately, DeMarcus is making everyone sweat. Here's the situation: Because Cousins wasn't in the pool of national team candidates submitted to the United States Olympic Committee in January and updated in May ... he wasn't subjected to the requisite drug tests and, thus, hasn't received USOC clearance. Should any of the USA's remaining big men get hurt or otherwise become unavailable between now and the London Games, adding Cousins would require serious arm-twisting by USA Basketball chairman Jerry Colangelo, or worse, an act of Congress.

Why is this on Cousins? They make it sound like he has a drug problem, when the fact is this is about Team USA not being prepared for injuries. If it takes a lot of work for Cousins to be cleared to be able to play with the team, then Colangelo needs to get on it. Right now!

Making Kobe's statement sounding even dumber.

"Why Griffin's injury has Team USA sweating"...

You think Team USA is sweating? Guess what the Clippers are doing...

It starts with an 'S', ends with 'ing' and they're doing it in their pants!

You think Kobe's statement was dumb? So he thinks this USA team can beat the Dream Team, or at least made the statement. What was he supposed to say of his and his teammates' talent?

Would LeBron, CP3, Wade or any other top player said any different? I don't think so.

Anybody who actually forms their lips to say that is dumb, I'm sorry.

Sitting?Spinning?

I think "shaking", as in "their booty". It's part of the warmup/stretching to help prevent injuries.

**** DeMarcus Cousins. He is a malcontent.

Bring in Tim Duncan or Kevin Garnett. Those guys would set a good example for the younger fellows.

Perhaps you walk into each an every situation expecting to lose, but some of us do not.

Perhaps some just walk in being confident without making dumb statements. WHATEVER! Foff!

What was Kobe really supposed to say? "No I think we would get our butts kicked?" Yeah right...OF COURSE they should think they'd win. They are NBA all-pros too and at the end of their careers, some of these guys will mentioned among the greatest (Kobe, Bron, Durant). Also, if D.Rose, Wade and Howard were not hurt, they'd be on the team too...

I cant call a man foolish for thinking he is just as good as the next..my competitive spirit admires what he said
