Devils enforcer apologizes for offensive gay remark

09:03 AM ET 07.14 | New Jersey Devils enforcer Cam Janssen has apologized for a profanity-laced interview in which he made several comments, including one about homosexuals. Janssen, who re-signed with the Devils this offseason but rarely played during the postseason, issued his apology through the team Friday morning. He participated in an internet-based radio show earlier in the week and said he used poor judgment during the course of the show. Janssen says he regrets his action and said he arranged the interview on "The Thom and Jeff Show," noting the Devils had no knowledge of it.

And he gets paid over 500k a year. Who goes on an internet radio show anyway. And even though those guys walked him right into those remarks (well basically saying it first), he wasn't smart enough (I know shocking) to not take the bait.

frankly I find it embarrassing that he needs to make a nation-wide apology for some off the cuff remark made on a local radio show. Yet another display of PC-ness going too far.
Regardless of how I feel about the content of what he said, never in a million years would I even have heard it had he not been forced into an apology...

Wendel's on commercials here with his family, in his rink, think he's got two or three kids, but I have heard that he lived on **** street for a longwhile also. Usually where there's smoke.....there's a ****smoker.
