08:11 AM ET 07.15 | Mike Scioscia has resisted making Mark Trumbo his full-time cleanup hitter, even though Trumbo's power and performance -- and Kendrys Morales' lack thereof -- clearly warrant such a move. But the Angels manager is wavering on the issue, acknowledging before Saturday's game against the New York Yankees that locking Trumbo into the fourth spot behind Mike Trout, Torii Hunter and Albert Pujols "is something we're looking at."

This Young Man is Unbeliveable!!!

Trout and Trumbo are making everyone forget about Albert Pujols. I wonder if the Angels would have signed him to that contract if they knew how good those two young men were going to be.

Pujols has made everyone forget about Pujols. I'm starting to think there may be some validity to the questions about his age. The Angels are really screwed if those suspisions are true.

I wonder, could a baseball contract be invalidated because of age fraud?

July 15, 2012  11:31 AM ET

After a rough start he is doing much better. I think it was more of an adjustment to a huge park and to AL pitching issue; adjustment made, and now he is doing fine. He will likely get old and his production fall off long before his contract is up, but for the next couple of years he should be ok.

Trout is incredible, the Angels should be in good shape for years!!!Good Job!

I got distracted there. What I meant to say was that Pujols is hitting well now, and putting Trumbo's big bat behind him, in place of the struggling Kendrys Morales, should help more.

like everybody says the halos didn't know exactly what they had in their own team,,,

July 15, 2012  05:36 PM ET

angels could have more holes in their rotation that's IF they refuse to acknowledge that problem with, SANTANA HAREN, WILLIAMS, RICHARDS,,,

July 15, 2012  05:41 PM ET

maybe their lineup its not too much of a problem after all, but their rotation its sinking very fast and no team can survive with only two conssistent pitchers,,,

July 15, 2012  05:42 PM ET

my guess its,,, morales would be doing the walking in the 2013 off season,,,

July 15, 2012  05:43 PM ET

tori hunter its saying good bye to the halos,,, by next year,, thanks hunter,

vernon wells would have to continue playing in the anaheim team even if he its unable to hit for power,,,

July 15, 2012  05:46 PM ET

bobby wilson could be gone next year, living the open spot for conger as a backup catcher,,,

July 15, 2012  05:48 PM ET

if haren, santana, richards, williams, are unable to perform to their capabilities as a pitchers could it be the PITCHING COACH the problem??? i mean one starter gone bad its ok but 4 at the same time????
