Gordon denies failing third drug test

I don't think you have the head games going on in the supplemental draft that you do in the full draft, where teams will spread all sorts of rumors about players to effect their perceived value. If 4 teams are saying he failed a drug test at Utah, there's a pretty good chance he failed a drug test at Utah.

This kid is going to get to know Roger very well.

That should make him a shoe-in as a future Cowboys or Jets prospect.

Apparently the Browns feel there was a lot of upside to taking a chance with Gordon, or they just didn't do their homework before the draft.

Just because people want it to be legal does not make it legal. The kid still has to suffer the consequences. And he obviously has a history of not learning from his off field mistakes.

But those future Presidents weren't being tested for weed at the time. On the other hand, Gordon knows what is at stake if if he is caught using. Three fails? It is probable that this young man will fail at the next level too. Maybe you burn a 6th or 7th round pick in hopes of turnaround. But a 2nd? that's a waste. The Browns front office must be smoking something too.

If they want to keep their NCAA eligibility then it is a mistake.

The kids know the rules. If they what to spend their extra time getting baked, they shouldn't sign on the dotted line.

As much as I hate illegal drugs, I can only hope he put this immaturity behind him. But if Michael Phelps can do it and win Olympic medals, maybe this guy can hang on to Weeden's spirals.
