08:14 AM ET 07.16 | Though Auburn head coach Gene Chizik and his offensive staff have yet to name a starting quarterback for the season opener against Clemson, signs point to one young man. [It] appears that all of the momentum is with Kiehl Frazier on The Plains. The dual-threat signal-caller outperformed Clint Moseley this past spring in the Tigers' quarterback derby, completing 7-of-9 passes for 92 yards in the team's spring game. He also proved to be a real threat with his legs in the contest, which is an aspect of the offense that new coordinator Scot Loeffler will be sure to utilize in his game plan every Saturday. While Moseley will have the opportunity in preseason camp to earn the top spot on the depth chart, the job appears to be Frazier's to lose.

The guy even looks like $Cam in the pic. Possible foreshadowing of things to come?

It's been how long since the spring game, and this paper/website is just now figuring this out?

That would be a NEAUX....8Ws max IMHO

So, in your opinion, who gets more W's this year, Aubie or da Gatuhz?

It is simple Frazier is quicker and more athletic, so he is your man.

Frazier was a great HS QB but he's not an elite athelete like Cam was.....no comparison IMHO.

Not sure whe get more wins....haven't taken the time to look at Fla's schedule

Interesting debate.....both schedules are tough.

Fla has 2 tuff road games @ A&M and @Tenn. A&M will be 1st SEC game and Kyle Field will be rocking....Tenn HAS to win at home, too. Then a 3-week stretch of USC, Jr, UGA, and Mizzou. Finish with FSU.

Fla could get 7 this year.

Aubie has Clemson @ MSU and LUS in the first 4 games. Prob start 2-2....MAYBE 1-3. Arky home game will be the swing game for their season. Win that one, they get to 8. Lose that one and they're gonne struggle getting 8.

If I had to bet, I'd pick Auburn. IMHO Fla has a better team but harder schedule. 1st SEC game @ TAMU and a make-or-break game for Dooley is hard. Plus ACC match-up should be harder for Fla than Aubie

Exactly my thoughts, Spiffy. Moseley was out, under a new OC, for most of the spring because of a bum shoulder. Frasier is a better athlete and will progress whereas Mosely has peaked. It's that simple. Look for Moseley to be under center Sept. 3. And if all you are basing your prognostication regaridng Auburn's season on is what you are reading in the national media, you'r ein for a big surprise.
