Cards courting running back controversy

08:05 AM ET 07.18 | If they live up to their potential, Arizona's running backs bring the Cardinals just about everything they might need. Beanie Wells can provide the power and has enough speed to make big plays. Ryan Williams' quickness and vision make him an excellent complement to Wells. LaRod Stephens-Howling is a dangerous speciality back. ... Still, there is a feeling around Cardinals headquarters that Wells needs to be pushed. That's not unusual for a player, or any other human for that matter. But it wasn't a coincidence that on the final day of off-season workouts, Whisenhunt commented that Wells should be ready for camp because other backs had looked good. He didn't name anyone, but it was clear Whisenhunt was talking about Williams.

He's better than Kolb...

And if not, head on over to Honest Andy's Used Football Players in beautiful downtown Philadelphia.

They've already kicked the tires on Honest Andy's QBs.

Some GMs never learn, though.

"Hey, I'll throw in this still-warm, half-eaten Philly cheese steak sandwich. Do we have a deal?"

I'm amazed sometimes at the intuitiveness of hack reporters. This is the same type of thinking that my wife expects of me. "I didn't say anything but you should know already." Seriously? If that's the case, then maybe I'll hire a reporter to listen to my wife and he can break it down for me.

That's why he got hurt. They kicked too hard.

They need a Healthy O-Line more then anything... and maybe some younger bodies in their Linebacking core...

Face it. They've got one great wide receiver, and they need just about everything else.

Well, OK, they've got that really neat natural grass field that rolls out of the dome and into the parking lot during the week so it can get sunlight. Now, that is cool, and when it's not cool, at least it's a dry heat.

1 WR and 1 pass rusher (Campbell)..the rest of the team is mediocre, at best. Hard to believe they were one play away from winning the SB just a few yrs ago

Really? Because I rate them both the same, and it's not good either.

They should have traded for Tebow when they had a chance.

Do they need a personal punt protector too?
