08:20 AM ET 07.18 | Joining what is considered to be the toughest conference in college sports doesn't seem to have Texas A&M or Missouri rattled, at least not at SEC Media Days. "You have to earn everything you get," Missouri wide receiver T.J. Moe said. ... "At the end of the season you are going to see some of our players on All-SEC teams. The media is going to make a big deal of it. They've seen the SEC has won the last six national championships, but all 12 SEC teams didn't win the national championship, just one of them." Said Texas A&M wide receiver Ryan Swope: "We expect to win football games. We don't want to be overlooked. We want to be right up there with the big dogs. We're ready to kick this thing off. We're here to win football games."

I like it. "We're ready to kick this thing off". Exactly right, bud!
What did you expect? For these guys to moan and whine about playing in a new league? Of course they're gonna make bold statements. Why respect somebody that doesn't have confidence they can compete? Time to see who's got what.

I'm not sure what was said that was particularly "bold"

Both will go 6-6 or 7-5 in their first year in the SEC IMHO.
Mizzou has a better team, but non-conf games with Ariz St and UCF are more difficult than TAMU's - S Carolina State, Sam Houston, La Tech & SMU. Win these and Ole' Piss and you just have to win one more to be bowl eligable.

While not powerhouses, La Tech and SMU aren't pushovers either. Those could be some good games. La Tech only lost by one TD to TCU and SMU beat TCU last year.

Since TU got scairt and backed out of playing them, TAMU had to find someone to fill those slots...

I agree with WPS for the most part. I've said all along they will finish about the same place they did in the Big 12. Not much better and not much worse. Middle to mid-bottom of their division.

UH..D2, me thinks it was Aggie that took their ball and left, not the rusty cows.
I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure Aggie ran off.

Aggies left for a better conference and TU quit playing them...refused to schedule. Isn't that right.?

Nah...it's the SEC.
All teams in both divisions will finish tied for first. There will be a 4 team playoff, teams selected by an unbiased committee of retired coaches and sports writers. Refreshments and amenities will be supplied by ESPN. The committee will hand over their selections to ESPN who will then pick the four teams.

Maybe not in the Big 12, but they do in the SEC. The NCAA waiver is in the back of the handbook

The SEC is only the toughest in their minds and the minds of ESPN blah, blah, blah, blah.....

Yeah, but if you join, we have a conflict at the mother-ship. Would it officially be known as eSECpn or TEXespn?
