Knicks turning fans off with Lin move

08:08 AM ET 07.19 | Whether Jeremy Lin was worth the money may not be the point in the eyes of fans. A majority, I am betting, wanted Lin on their team next season, if only because they wished this compelling saga would continue in the Garden. ... [One season-ticket holder] expressed exasperation over [Jim Dolan's] unwillingness to do what he has asked of his fans over and over: keep the faith and invest in the potential for success, in this case that of the 23-year-old Lin. "After sitting there all those years and watching all that horrible basketball, we finally had such a feel-good story that felt like our own," said the ticket-holder, who spoke on the condition of anonymity for fear of retribution from a management that has been notoriously contentious.

i feel sorry for those who bought his jersey

All this because a guy played good for a few games in a shortened season for a coach that is no longer there. He could be a system guy for all we know. I think we will be better off with Felton (-20lbs) and kidd than relying on lin.

He didnt fit Woodson's system. He didnt play well with Melo. He cost too much money. Doesn't matter if you can match or not. I've been down with the knicks since Gerald wilkins and Kiki vanderwegh were on the wings and I'll be there to the end. I fully support the decision. Lin is all hype at this point. If we were to get rid of someone like shumpert then I'd be upset. But not Jeremy "lightning in a bottle" Lin.

For winning games? Maybe...

For ticket sales? Absolutely not! Unless they win 55+ games (67%)...

55% wins isn't going to draw a bigger audience.

The Rockets might already have gotten back Lin's first year salary by selling his jerseys by now. And you will see Chinese ads on the Rockets' court, which the games will be broadcasted in China. It was not a mistake

I dont understand why people are so upset. Its not like he is chris paul. THe guy is an average pg at best. He can't go left and if you d him up he shrinks. Not to say that he would not improve, but he has just been blown out of proportion. He got cut all those times (and was about to be cut again) for a reason. I'm glad fans are leaving. That means you weren't real anyway
