08:13 AM ET 07.19 | Hello, Cleveland. The Cleveland Cavaliers may have inched ahead of the Houston Rockets as a facilitator in a potential trade that would send Orlando Magic center Dwight Howard to the Los Angeles Lakers, sources said Wednesday. One source familiar with the talks, though, cautioned not to make too much of that shift just yet. The Cavaliers would land Lakers center Andrew Bynum for a package of draft picks and veteran power forward Anderson Varejao, according to one league source. The Lakers would receive Howard for Bynum. Orlando would get Varejao and draft picks. ... Cavaliers general manager Chris Grant was in Las Vegas watching summer-league action but made an unplanned return to Cleveland, sources say, and is not expected to return.

Howard just agreed to sign a long term deal with the Lakers if traded there. Don't know whether to be happy or not. I mean, we get the best big man in the league but also the biggest diva.

Which DH will move to L.A.?

if the Cavs get Bynum, they have a chance to make the playoff, and their draft picks will not be too good

Dwight..............Welcome to LaLa Land..........

Bynum.... welcome to CLE.....

All Im going to say on this is Bynum needs to sign the extension, and the Cavs should pass on Hedo, and gladly take Gasol too.

I'm very suspicious of Dwight's back injury. I won't give up Bynum for Howard at this time.

so Gilbert was pissypants when LA was trying to get CP3 but they're ok with helping send Howard to LA as long as they get something out of it?

Look what's in it for Glibert... Bynum!

Dwight!!!!! <---- This guy really didnt want to go to LA at first he was scared to go into an organizaton where they are known for there primetime HOF big men, he wants to create his own legacy that is why he wanted to go to Brooklyn to be there first HOF, I get it but I'm just sick of this whole thing as I'm sure others are as well. I almost can bet another reason he didnt want to go to LA was because he would be following in Shaq's footsteps (Orlando to LA and the whole Superman nickname al la Shaq)

This would be huge move for the Cavs , providing Bynam stays healthy and improves as he did last season.....would waiters be included in this trade scanario...I actually like his game, despite some Cavs fans reservations

I hope the Cavs don't trade for Bynum, he's one bad step from being gone. Waiters, you can have him for a bag of balls....so far. The Cavs need to stay the course and build like OKC did, with the 4 first round picks next year.

Just don't spend money on his jersey. Because he won't be staying.

Well, the Cavs aren't going to agree to the trade unless he signs a long term extension. I still don't want him, he's injury prone.

Don't let my foot hit your arse on the way out, Howard.

His reign as Dive of the Now ends as soon as he is traded to the Lakers, much to the dismay of other NBA-cities. Looks like a Lakers-Heat rivalry for the middle of this decade.
