Did Philly really also give up four 1st rounders also? Hope in the end, it's all worth it, (Suter w/o Weber and Weber w/o Suter). But you don't know til you take the chance.

I'm stunned. I'm also stunned that Shea would forego his UFA status. But this would go a long way towards making Philly a legit contender. Just the effect a guy like Shea would have on L Schenn alone scares me.

no idea, but this is a bit "lindros-y" in terms of give ups, isn't it?

Stupid. The problem with the NHL's financial future isn't the NHLPA...............it's nitwit owners. 14 years for Weber? 9 years for Bryz? 10 years for Crosby, 13 for Ovechkin? I look forward to the AHL and college hockey this year.

It says he signed it, so no. He could have, but apparently he wants to go play in Philly for the remainder of his career for an ungodly amount of money.

And i'm still left here wondering why NOBODY did this with Steven Stamkos last summer, particularly a certain GM who has a certain team with a glaring hole at centre...
