08:25 AM ET 07.20 | Philadelphia was not alone among potential relocation options for restricted free agent Shea Weber. The coveted Nashville Predators defenseman also was interested in the Rangers and visited New York recently, multiple sources confirmed to ESPNNewYork.com. Weber, 26, ultimately signed a 14-year offer sheet worth a reported $110 million with the Flyers after visiting Philadelphia, San Jose and Detroit as well as New York. "It just seemed to be a better fit than New York," his agent, Jarrett Bousquet, told ESPNNewYork.com on Thursday. Bousquet said his client's main deterrent with New York was the prospect of living in Manhattan. "(Weber) is a small-town guy and (New York) is a huge city," Bousquet said. "With New York, it was nothing personal."

Yeah, I don't think him being a small town guy had anything to do with this. Philly is a pretty big city.
The New York media is just stupid.

Yep, real worried. Flyers won two more games in post-season than the Pens.
Keeps me up at night. Just like the Pens keep you up at night considering your obvious hard-on for them. :)

As much fun as that would be, the bigger concern is with the Flyers. They have not upgraded at all this offseason and they need serious help on the blue line. If the Flyers don't get Weber, it would be hard to see them competing for the Cup this season.
