Sources: Magic frustrating other GMs

09:04 AM ET 07.21 | According to sources, the Magic have frustrated potential trading partners by continuously changing terms at the last minute. This supposedly dates back to their dealings with the Nets a few weeks back, when Nets GM Billy King felt an agreement that would send Dwight Howard to Brooklyn had been finalized, sources said. Instead, the Nets re-signed their own free-agent center, Brook Lopez, eliminating themselves from landing Howard. The Magic, meanwhile, have for the time being moved on to the Lakers, Cavs and possibly Rockets, and are said to be acting equally as difficult -- with the Magic's thinking seeming to be there's no need to rush when they possess the big asset everyone wants. Makes sense, but as one opposing GM noted, there's no way the Magic can bring Howard to camp in late September, and the clock is ticking. So the pressure soon will be on Magic GM Rob Hennigan, if it's not already.

I think there is a chance that DH and Orlando may be stuck with each other this year. That should be a scary prospect for the Magic front office.

Hey Magic, TickTock, TickTock, TickTock....

I think it's time to tell Bynum we want him to stay and offer him a long career with the Lakers. If he declines and walks away, it's no worse than Howard doing likewise.

At least Bynum will be playing hard to intrigue other teams to offer him the world.

i have become numb to his flip flopping......It will happen when it happens...

I thought it was the opposite. He couldn't get as much from another team as the one he was already signed with...

Yes, good point. Bynum signing an extension is a good move for the Lakers.

Yep, agree. That's one of the sticking points with DH and trying to move him.

true...but if he is traded to the lakers he would get more money from them from becoming a free agent then just signing an extention right after the trade...CP3 is in the same situation....

has he played 'hard' at all while in the purp & gold?
why would he start now?

he is getting a max regardless cause he's 7'
he knows it, and the rest of the world knows it-

(is my seat on the laker bus revoked?)

Maybe he won't put forth more effort but at least he can hit free throws and only has diva image is only a fraction of Howard's... at least this season.

We amnestided JkShaz from the Lakers wagon and there's a seat available so, behave yourself and good things can happen for you.

he can get the most $ and years if he waits to sign his deal once it expires, rather than signing it now or mid-season-That is why CP hasn't signed his deal and why DWill waited
