09:19 AM ET 07.21 | Tim Tebow is in the House. The Jets' reserve quarterback with the unorthodox throwing motion is working with former major league pitcher Tom House on the campus of the University of Southern California this week. House, whose major league bona fides include catching Hank Aaron's 715th home run ball in the Atlanta Braves' bullpen in 1974, working as a pitching coach to several major league teams, a doctorate degree in psychology, and an admission to taking steroids during his playing days, previously worked with the USC baseball team as a pitching coach, and now serves as a volunteer assistant with the Trojans.

It won't take much to eventually beat out Sanchez, who has to keep his throws between the numbers to have success.

A baseball pitching coach to help a football player with his throwing motion? This sounds counter-intuitive.

Canuck eh?

If Tim is I wouldn't advise any player trying to run him over.

Didn't Tom House turn Randy Johnson from a big goon into a HOF'er? I could swear he was the guy who taught him to actually pitch instead of just throw bombs, but I could have the wrong guy.
If that's him, I'm willing to at least hear what the man has to say.

Hey Doc, good morning!!!! No way in hell that Tebow beats out Sanchez as the starting QB for the Jets, unless Mark gets hurt.

This article fails to mention that House has worked with other NFL QBs. It is not as strange as it seems. But didn't Tebow try to fix his throwing mechanics before the NFL draft? How did that work out?

So you want him to teach Mark to throw bombs instead of just pitching the ball ten yards instead. Sounds right.

Did you bother to read the entire article? The sub-head reads(and it's in bold): "House, a volunteer pitching coach for the Trojans, has worked with several NFL quarterbacks over the years, including Tom Brady, Drew Brees and Alex Smith."

He used to have all his pitchers throw the football. Teaches proper elbow position. When he was with the Rangers you would see footballs flying all over the outfield during BP.

What good is a QB who can't finish? Can't get over the goal line, score when he needs to? So even if Sanchez is more convential down the field, if he doesn't score or get to the red zone, replace him with someone who will... enter Tebow. And it sounds like what they have in mind frankly. If Tebow has lots of success in the red zone, I predict he'll have Sanchez' job before long. So I really do think there IS a way in hell he's the starting QB eventually. But who truly knows how it will turn out...noone.

I think he tried a couple of times with Denver, too. But maybe he didn't find the right coach, or a coach who could explain it to him in terms he could understand.
