10:46 AM ET 07.22 | Mercifully, the off-season is coming to an end for the Detroit Lions. Cornerback Aaron Berry was arrested for the second time in a month early Saturday morning and charged with three counts of simple assault for allegedly brandishing a firearm, Harrisburg (Pa.) City Police said. Berry's arrest is the seventh by Lions players in seven months this off-season. Rookies and injured players are scheduled to report for training camp on Monday, and practice begins Friday. Messages left for other members of the Harrisburg police department weren't immediately returned, though a ProFootballTalk.com report said a tipster told the website Berry was arrested after he pointed a gun at a group of people from inside a car.

This appears to be a team in need of some tough love...and a good bail bondsman.

After years (decades?) of incompetence and irrelevance, the Lions were finally on the upswing. It would be a shame if this issue derails the progress they've made as a team, but it could happen.

Will there be a screening point to get into the Lions locker room ? "No Weapons Allowed Beyond This Point"

Simple assault. What's that say about Aaron. Knucklehead.

Good news for any unsigned free agents out there... the Lions might need a few extra players to keep their roster stocked up.

Aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. This is pretty serious. He'd better get a real lawyer.

They need to beef up rookie training/orientation. How about: "If you feel like you need to carry a gun to wherever your evening's plans take you, change your evening's plans"

LOL!

This is truly pathetic, but their coach is kind of a tool, so no surprise.

See this is what happen when you give grow kids a lot of money!

The coach sets the tone and Schwartz is weak. Lions need a Coughlin-like coach to get to the next level.

I don't think they're any worse than most teams. Always gonna have some immature idiot on a club.
