08:02 AM ET 07.23 | Tom Clements, the Green Bay QB coach whom Aaron Rodgers credits for much of his success, now has a bigger role with the Packers as offensive coordinator. After Clements' promotion, Rodgers went public with his hope that coach Mike McCarthy would hire an experienced quarterbacks coach. He didn't get it. Instead, McCarthy turned to a promising young assistant he'd been grooming for the job, 35-year-old Ben McAdoo, who coached the Packers' tight ends for the last six years. ... [Said McAdoo:] "I'll let Aaron talk about his goals. I'm not going to come out and say that publicly. But we have high expectations. We want to play well as an offense, we want to be explosive, and we want to score a lot of points and we want to win a lot of games."

The whole Packer organization should realize that fans have "high expectations." If they don't make it to at least the NFC Championship game, most of their fans will be seriously disappointed.

As long as their expectations don't include winning the division, they might have a shot.

Ben McAdoo already knows how to stick to the standard PR playbook.

- High expectations
- Play well as an offense; be explosive
- Score a lot
- Win a lot

"...I'm not going to come out and say that publicly, but we have high expections".

Didn't Ben McAdoo just, in fact, say that publicly, he is talking to a newspaper after all.

5500 yards, 54 TDs, 7 interceptions.

I don't think the Packers need to worry about Rodgers, its their D that fell flat.

good one. I was thinking that the officials might have a shorter fuse with on-field misconduct this year, but then I remembered that it was their turn to be locked out by the owners, so who knows how the games might be called.

I've heard Brett is looking to get into Coaching...

He is into coaching, he has been an assistant coach at that high school for years, now want to be on payroll.

Probably won't happen -- known Felons cannot congragate so there goes all their practice time ...

I actually still think Rodgers has two flaws left in his game. He still takes unnecessary sacks and he will still occasionally not see wide open WRs (this tends to happen on the plays where he scrambles).

Judging by this guy's comment history he sounds like a Bears fan. I'm pretty sure Chicago's overrated quarterback and aging defense aren't going to be too much of a thorn in Green Bay's side this year.
