08:24 AM ET 07.23 | John Calipari asked that Chris Walker remain patient. The 2013 prospect decided he was tired of waiting. Walker committed to homestate Florida on Sunday morning, putting an end to several months of speculation over when (or if) Calipari was going to offer him a UK scholarship. ... [Walker] found a place that wanted him more. He chose the Gators over Louisville and Kansas, who had offered him scholarships, and Kentucky, which hadn't. The 6-foot-10 power forward joins AAU teammate Kasey Hill in the Gators' 2013 class. Walker and Hill are ranked either 6th or 7th by Rivals, Scout and ESPN. "Together we'll be the best duo in college basketball, and we will win a national championship," Walker said in his announcement video.

I love that the headline says that Walker "spurned" UK for UF, when he didn't even have an offer from UK. He spurned UL and KU, maybe, but if Cal had offered Walker would have jumped. True story.

If that's the case, then Cal blew it. Walker is going to be an absolute beast.....and to lose him to your SEC rival nonetheless!

I guess I'll just have to leave the talent evaluation to the guy that has had 3 #1 classes and a #2 class in the past four years (and will have another #1 class without Walker in '13)...
