08:25 AM ET 07.23 | For the nation's elite college basketball prospects, there may be some benefit to skipping as quickly as possible through high school. Andrew Wiggins, a 6-8 Canadian forward who plays for Huntington (W.Va.) Prep, says, "I haven't really thought about it" when asked about reclassifying from being a junior next school year to being a senior. That's what Nerlens Noel said in January while playing at a prep school in New Hampshire, but now he's at Kentucky after reclassifying. ... [Wiggins] is considered the top recruit in the 2014 class by 247.com, ESPN.com, Rivals.com and Scout.com. At the Nike Peach Jam AAU tournament this past week against mostly players in the 2013 class, Wiggins led his team, CIA Bounce, to the 17-under finals.

Just take your slimy AAU handler/leeches and head overseas. There you can legally get bribed and/or paid and not screw up CBB. JMHO.

Me too. You can add up all the other college sports and it won't total the filth in CBB. And most of the filth starts long before they set foot on a college campus. Some are just willing to lay down in the slop with those "handlers" or other words the mods won't let me use on here.

Saw the headline and thought that a gay HS athlete has found an angle to boost his chances of receiving a scholarship offer.

IF the NCAA is serious about making athletic programs get back to being athletic and not being more important than the education at colleges...wondering what they will do to CBB now, in light of the PSU sanctions?
Going to be interesting in the next few months/years....

You mean get paid like high schools, colleges and their coaches? Take the blinders off, for about 7 years people are making thousands and millions off the backs of these kids and you feel that is okay. But let someone from outside give the kids a few dollars out of their pockets and they are ruining college basketball. You fail to mention that all these handlers/leeches are getting money from the colleges and their boosters to steer the kids to their schools. Just like Nike, Adidas and others pay them to sign with the schools that are under contract with them. But only the AAU people are leeches?

Nevermind that the leeches are getting paid by the colleges and their bosters to steer them to their school. And Nike, Adidas and others are also paying the leeches to steer the kids to colleges they have under contract. Oh yeah, schools have been giving kids money for decades, even before AAU had any influence. Adolph Rupp paid players, and the AAU handlers are the only leeches you see.
