The fact that Sather wants Doan just proves that I am correct in believing the hype for Doan (a career minus player) is way out of line...and don't give me the "he's a great leader" argument either.

I agree, this was created in the press to make something seem interesting. I have not been on the Doan bandwagon, as my posts have indicated.

He has scored 20 goals or more 11 of the past 12 seasons. Had over 200 hits last year, plays hard
and gets 50-60 points a year. That sounds like a pretty good hockey player to me.

I agree. We'll take him in Detroit any day of the week and twice on Sunday ..... provided he doesn't ask for the combination to Mike Ilitch's safe. But ... he can have all the free Little Caesar's pizza he wants. :-)
