08:28 AM ET 07.23 | Good news, Pens fans. Free agent forward Shane Doan is likely to visit Pittsburgh shortly, according to agent Terry Bross. Although Bross said it wasn't "for certain" that Doan will visit with the Penguins, he gave a far more encouraging tone than last week regarding his client's odds of playing with the Penguins. "Shane is going to visit a couple of more teams," Bross told the Tribune-Review on Sunday. "I'm pretty sure Pittsburgh will be one of them. He is interested in the Penguins." Bross noted that he has touched base with Penguins general manager Ray Shero about a possible meeting. The Penguins have already made Doan an offer. Doan met with the Philadelphia Flyers and New York Rangers last week.

Doesn't this go against one of the Ten Commandments?

Do not covet thy neighbour's wife's husband who plays hockey but only in the desert.

There's some sort of blacklight joke here that I just can't finish. Just give me a second, I'm working on it. Maybe a magazine will help.

Pens haven't landed a big name FA since Gonchar in 05. It would be nice, but this side show is sickening.

That's how you find Scorpions that might br hiding in your bed at night. A magazine does help.

The whole FA thing is insanely blown out of proportion. Does anybody ever win by spending tons of cash on FAs? It seems to me every time you go after big name FAs, you always end up overspending and hardly ever get your money's worth in return.

and yet...they all keep doing it. You cannot buy a title, no matter how hard you try.
but when the owners don't spend, the players' associations cry :Collusion"!
