Revis drama brewing

08:04 AM ET 07.24 | Darrelle Revis may not wind up a camp holdout, though speculation persists that he's considering it. But should he eventually decide to dip out of Jets camp for some period of time, it would be anything but a shocker. Some coaches there are already bracing for as much. And, holdout or not, his long-term contractual status is anything but secure. More negotiations, and drama, loom, and Revis is only one potential sideshow the team's front office must navigate in what could be a trying season. After back-to-back AFC championship game appearances, plenty of Super Bowl boasts and last year's on-field and locker-room meltdown, this team will remain the focus of national attention win, lose or draw.

Is Revis insisting on a lower salary because he's not the superstar they thought he was when his current contract was negotiated?

The Jets SUCK!!!

Good Morning Mick, The Yankees stole Ichero!! Revis is as good as they get at his position, what he should do is sign a one year contract, but he won't do that, that would mean he'd have to play hard in every game or no raise next year! Who cares!

Mornund Dag was a minor 12th century Norse god. Vikings prayed to him to keep the horns from falling off their helmets and to keep their spear points sharp. He was kind of the equipment manager of the Nordic Pantheon.

Revis signed a 4 year contract a little under 4 years ago, which means he's signed through the next two seasons. He's apparently upset that others are making more money than him this year. Funny how he forgets that he was given a roster bonus of $18 mil in addition to salaries of $7 & $7.5, and roster bonuses coming to him this year and next year of $3 mil each ... what is he looking to get, a new contract? If the Jets cave to that, that'll mean he was paid over $32 mil for two seasons, which is top QB money. He signed a 4 year $46 mil contract, he shouldn't start whining until at least 3 years are finished. Talk about ridiculous!
